iPhone Style Lock Screen Notification On Android Phone

Android phone has a feature of notification, which lets you know if you receive any mail or message or missed call, etc. Everytime you have to unlock your phone and then check your notification. But in case of iPhone, it brings all this notification on the lock screen. This feature in iPhone is known as Notification Center. It is a very useful feature for checking missed calls or messages or mail without unlocking your phone. But this awesome feature is in iPhone. What about Android? Now you can also have this same feature on your Android phone.

This can be done using an application, LockerPro Lockscreen. LockerPro is a lockscreen replacement providing extended notifications. With LockerPro Lockscreen ( Locker Pro ) you can greatly improve the way your device displays notifications. This app provides notifications on your lockscreen for any app installed on your phone. By default, it enabled notification for SMS, MMS, missed calls, Gmail, Google Talk, WhatsApp, Facebook, Twitter, and Skype.

Things to remember:

  • To work properly, LockerPro requires that you activate the accessibility service "LockerPro" (accessibility services are currently the only way to process user notifications on the Android OS).
  • You can then use the "Monitoring" section to choose which apps should raise notifications, and how.
  • Status bar notifications must be enabled in the monitored apps for the banners to appear properly.
How this app works:

Note: Since my Moto Defy is not compatible for this application, m not able to take the screenshots for the steps. Therefore, m taking the screenshot from Google Play Store itself. Hope you understand!

1. Download and install LockerPro Lockscreen (Free, Lite edition or Pro edition) on your Android phone.

2. Once installed it will ask your to activate Locker Pro Accessibility Service.

3. To activate it, go to Setting -> Accessibility (enable, by checking the box, if disable) -> LockerPro and enable it.

4. Then from the monitoring screen, choose which apps should raise notification.

5. Now just follow the simple steps when you receive any notification;

  • Swipe the notification to the right to launch it.
  • Swipe to the left to dismiss it.

That's it. This way you can have a notification like iPhone and will be able to access the notification from the lock screen, without unlocking your phone.

Remember:

  • Dismissing the notification won’t remove it from the status bar (the Android OS doesn’t currently allow to manually remove 3rd party apps notifications from the status bar).
  • As a default, notifications will be enabled for SMS, MMS, missed calls, GMail, Talk, WhatsApp, Facebook, Twitter, Skype, etc...
The lite version is free to install whereas you to buy the pro version from Google Play Store.
