Recover Deleted WhatsApp Messages Online

WhatsApp is the most widely used messenger app for many services like, Android, Blackberry and Windows Phone. We have seen a post some days back on how to backup & restore WhatsApp chat conversations. This is mainly used when you need to format your phone due to some reason or your WhatsApp is affected by virus and you need to delete and then re-install it. Also there may be chance that you need to change the look of your WhatsApp by installing new themes.

But now you can also restore them using a online tool called RecoverMessages. This service lets you easily recover WhatsApp messages or pictures deleted from your iPhone or Android phone and serves as a forensic tool.

Lets see how this works:

1. To recover your deleted WhatsApp chats from iPhone or Android using RecoverMessages, first you need to copy the WhatsApp database file (.sqlite or .db.crypt) from your device to your PC.

2. Then go to Recover Messages homepage.

3. Click on the SQSLiteFile and select the path of the WhatsApp database file (msgstore.db.crypt).

How to get a SQSLite or msgstore.db.crypt file:
For Android:
Go to this path: "/sdcard/WhatsApp/Databases/msgstore.db.crypt" (crypted database on SD card, can be created by starting backup from whatsapp advanced settings: settings - more - Backup Chats)

For iPhone:
net.whatsapp.WhatsApp/Documents/ChatStorage.sqlite (You can use an Iphone Backup Tool to get the file, e.g. I-Twin or Iphone Backup Extractor).

4. Now accept the terms of use and click on the Scan button.

That's it. You can also get some more features for restoring your messages  if you create a personal user account. More details available here.

You must be know that WhatsApp itself creates a backup of your file at regular interval. You can also recover it using simple steps provided here.

Backup / Restore WhatsApp Chat Conversations

WhatsApp is the most widely used messenger for android. Ofcourse, there are many other application but still i think WhatsApp is still the best. Yesterday we talked about the appearance of WhatsApp. There are many themes that you can install and change your old WhatsApp look. Today i will be focusing more on WhatsApp. Some days back my defy started giving me problem. It was because of virus that entered while surfing. The only option left for me was to format. But before that i took backup of all my apps. I asked many of my friends on how to backup? But none of them were sure. Then i surfed on the Internet and i found very simple steps.

There are plenty of application using which you can backup your chats, but most of them requires Rooting. Click here to learn on how to root any android phone in some steps. I found very easy steps to take the backup without rooting your phone. Fortunately, WhatsApp automatically makes backups every 24 hours and stores them on the microSD memory card of your Android phone. To restore the most recent back up, you will need to delete and reinstall WhatsApp.

Follow the steps below to backup WhatsApp Conversations:

1. Make sure you use some File Explorer to take the backup and also for renaming the files.

2. Now open WhatsApp. Click on the Menu/Option button -> Settings -> Chat Preferences -> Chat History Backup.

3. You will see a message saying. "Creating a backup on the SD card. {And a message set by you to automatically backup the chats}".

4. The backup file will be stored on your SD card in the path, /sdcard/WhatsApp/Database/

5. The file will be saved as "msgstore.db.crypt.current"
Note: Each time you create the backup, the current backup file gets a name as current at the end, so that you don't get confuse while restoring.

How to Restore your chats from a backup:

1. To restore your backup file, first delete WhatsApp.

2. Then decide which file you need to restore.

3. The backup file gets store in the format "msgstore.db.crypt.current". Along with this file, any previous backup file is store in the format "msgstore-YYYY-MM-DD.1.db.crypt". So please make sure you don't get confused.

4. Now rename the "msgstore-YYYY-MM-DD.1.db.crypt" to "msgstore.db.crypt".

5. Now install WhatsApp.

6. Once the installation is completed, it will ask you for restore, tap "Yes".

You will now be able to see your restored messages. If you want to revert the restoration, simply change the backup file name back to what it was, rename "msgstore.db.crypt.current" to "msgstore.db.crypt", and follow these steps again.

WhatsApp Messenger Theme For Android Smartphones

WhatsApp Messenger for Android is surely the best application to keep in touch with friends and family. You don't have to pay anything for chat or sharing any kind of files. But one thing that strikes my mind everytime, and that is the interface of WhatsApp. Yes, there are some wallpaper available on the Google Play Store that your an download and an apply for chatting. But still the appearance of WhatsApp doesn't change. We, like me, always like to see some different themes for same old software's. Like in PC we change the Windows themes, browser themes, folders themes. This is because we like to see the mostly used applications in different ways and looks.

Similarly, i would love to see WhatsApp in new look and with new theme. But you wont get such themes in the Google Play Store. But to let you know, now you can download WhatsApp themes that are created by YORZUA at XDA Developer Forum. Here you will find some pf the best WhatsApp themes that you can apply to your regular WhatsApp Messenger.

Follow the steps below to change the WhatsApp themes:

1. First, backup your chat history. Then uninstall WhatsApp Messenger Android app.

2. Click here to download and install the WhatsApp themes from the XDA Developer Forum.

Note: If you didn't uninstall the WhatsApp and try to install the themes over it, you will a see a popup "the application you are about to install will replace another application". If you still proceeded, the themes will not be installed. You WILL have to uninstall the previous WhatsApp.

3. Now you can download all the themes form XDA Forum and can try them out.

In simple steps as said by YORZUA:

1. Backup your current conversations

2. Uninstall your old WhatsApp

3. Install the new version

How to Hide your Email Address from Facebook Apps2

Facebook is home to more than half a million apps and some of these apps would like to know your actual email address before you can add them to your Facebook profile.

For instance, if you are planning to play Farmville or CityVille or any of the other popular games on Facebook, you’ll be required to share your email address with the game developer, Zynga in this case (see the below screenshot). This is one reason why I don’t use apps like Farmville, as they keep sending emails and notifications. Your email address might also be leaked to other advertisers along with Farmville and as a result, your inbox becomes a home of advertisements.

But if you like to keep your email address private, you can get a temporary email id from Facebook and the temporary email id will be show to FarmVille. Emails sent by FarmVille would be sent to the temporary email id which Facebook creates and then forwarded to your actual Email id. This ensures that your email id is kept private and is not revealed to third party apps.

You can do this when the app asks for permission to send you emails. Just click on “Change” link under “Send me Email”. Facebook shows you a temporary email id which will mask your original one, hence keeping your email id private.

Any messages sent to this address will still reach your main inbox but your actual email address will stay hidden from the app developer. Also, once you decide to remove the game /app from your Facebook profile, that proxy email address will be gone too. Simple!

How to Remove/ Disable/ Deactivate Facebook Timeline

If you hate Facebook Timeline and want to change back to viewing the old style, single column layout format profile pages, this guide is for you.

Guide to Disabling Facebook Timeline in Your Web Browser

The method for viewing Timeline pages in an easier to read single column layout format, for the following web browsers : Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Opera, is listed below : ( If you are using Internet Explorer, i strongly suggest you install one of the previously listed browsers, as this method is not compatible with IE. )
  1. First, install the F.B. Purity browser extension, as it adds a function for disabling Facebook Timeline in your browser.
  2. After F.B. Purity is installed, when you visit Facebook you will see a green "TL" at the top of the page, next to the search box, that looks like this:
    FB Purity's Timeline Disabling Button
Click the green "TL" icon in your browser and F.B. Purity will disable Timeline for you.
  3. Now visit any Timeline pages, and you will see them displayed in a single column layout format, similar to the old style profiles.
  4. If at any time, you wish to view Timeline pages again in the usual 2 column layout, just click the "TL" icon with the red cross through it at the top right of your browser window, and Timeline will be restored.
    FB Purity's Timeline Re-Enabling Button
NOTE:-
There is no way to completely remove Timeline from your Facebook account, you can only "re-style" it to display differently in your own browser, as this is a browser extension based solution. If you would like your friends to be able to view your Timeline pages in a single column layout too, encourage them to install F.B. Purity too, so they can also get the option to view all Timeline pages in the easier to read and less confusing single column layout format.

How To Hide Your email Address From Facebook App/Game Developers

Facebook is becoming more and more popular with the kind of apps it provides. Right now, Facebook serves more than a million apps and many of these apps will access your personal information in order to access them. Although accessing the personal information couldn’t be avoided, you can avoid providing your actual email address to the app you access.

TIP:How To Remove Facebook News Ticker & Set Up Layout

For example, if you would like to play CityVille or Mafia Wars or any of the app/game on Facebook, you will be required (yeah it is mandatory) to share your email address with the developer. Sharing your personal email can be avoided by changing the settings. When you click to sign-up for the app, click on “change” which is under “send me email” and Facebook will offer you a new anonymous proxy email to share with the app developer.

Although all messages sent to that anonymous email will still reach your personal email inbox, your real email address will stay hidden and safe. In case you stop using the app/game and remove the app from your Facebook profile, the proxy email address provided by Facebook will be deleted.

How To Remove Facebook News Ticker & Set Up Layout?

Facebook came up with alot of changes in the default dashboard like adding up the news ticker in the sidebar were they will be rolling out the new TimeLine Profile Feature (developers will be able to preview it even earlier). Honestly many of the people didn’t like the changes in the dashboard which were done by Mark Zuckerberg and are looking for the alternative ways to switch to the old layout (which is more clear, simple, robust and lovable).

TIP:How To Find Facebook Profile ID

So i have come up with a way which helps you in changing back to old layout but that one is no longer valid, here is a brand new way which helps you in switching back (this trick is valid only for Mozilla Firefox & Google Chrome users).

How To Change Back To Old Facebook Layout (Disable News Ticker)?
Like always log in to your Facebook account.

For Google Chrome Users:
Install “Facebook News Ticker Remover” extension and it works like a charm and removes up your New Ticker which is rolling out right above in the chat sidebar.

For Mozilla Firefox Users:

Install “Facebook News Ticker Remover” user add-on and see the magic removes up your New Ticker which is rolling out right above in the chat sidebar.

How to Read Chat Message on Facebook Without Being Detected

Facebook has a feature in the form of notification that informs our chat friends that we've seen the message he sent (seen ...). Previously, before this feature appears you can easily choose not to reply facebook chat messages pretending that you do not see chat messages sent.

But since facebook activated this feature, you can not ignore chat messages on facebook for your chat friends will know that you've seen messages he sent. In facebook there is no setting that can disable this feature, but now there is an add-on application for browser which can turn off this feature, here are the steps... open this website, click the green button labeled "get chat undetected". Chat Undetected lets you disable Facebook Messenger's read receipt feature, preventing others from seeing if you have viewed a message or not. If your browser is firefox, then the form of this application is a firefox add-on, you can install it directly.

If you use chrome, after you click on the green button, chrome will download a small exe file. Close chrome and then install the application. Once the add-on is installed, chat friends can not recognize whether we've seen the messages he sent or not.

How do I uninstall?
If you want to uninstall or to disable the add-on for a while, you can just go to the add-on browser setting then select disable or uninstall. I am sure this add-on can help you maintain your privacy when dealing with chatting on facebook.

Activate a Mobile Phone for Facebook Account to Recieve Notification at Phone

Activating a phone for your account is very simple.
1. Login to your Facebook profile and click on the Account link from the right-top corner of the page.

2. Click on Account Settings from the drop-down box.

3. On the account settings page head to the Mobile tab. You can find there the phone numbers if you have already added any one. If not then click on Register For Facebook Text Messages link.

4. An message box appears as an overlay window containing the options: 1. Choosing the country (already selected with your country name) and 2. Mobile Carrier. Select the connection provider of your mobile number from the list. If the provider name does not appear at the list, select Other Carrier and finally click on the Next button.

5. In the next step Facebook asks you to send a message to a specific number from your mobile to receive the confirmation code. Follow the on-screen instructions and complete the process.

6. Once you have received the confirmation code at your mobile, enter that into the required box. Also select the option “Add this phone number to my profile”. Finally click Next to complete the procedure.

7. After the successful completion of the activation of Phone number with your Facebook account, you will get the message like this.

This will start to send the notification as SMS to your mobile number whenever someone posts at your Wall, sends a friend request and much more. You can set which type of notification message you want to receive under the Mobile tab in the setting page. You can also set the time interval that you want to get the messages.

However, you can stop receiving the messages into your mobile phone by selecting the Off button from that same page.

No doubt this is quite interesting feature of Facebook by which you can stay updated with your Facebook account without opening your computer, helpful for those persons who do not have the internet connection available for all the time.

How to share Google plus post with Facebook friends

Facebook allows mobile users to upload their Facebook  status, photos etc. via a secret email address. Though this feature was included in Facebook for the sake of their mobile users, you can use that secret email id to send your Google post as a status update to Facebook. Here is the steps to go.
1. Browse Facebook mobile page and log-in with your Facebook account credentials (If you did not still activated the Facebook mobile feature, do it now). You can see your unique email address at the bottom of the page. This email id can be used to upload any status update or photo without opening the Facebook. Simply grab it.

2. Now, go to your Google plus profile, write something that you want to share at the Google plus stream, add that secret email address along with the Google plus Circles* at the visibility box and press the Share button.

* If you don’t add any Circle in the visibility box, the post will remain invisible for your Google plus friends. So, make sure to select the visibility as public or add the circle(s) before sharing the post.

3. You are done!! Your post will be shared with both your Google plus and Facebook friends.

4. However, you can add the secret Facebook email address in a new circle in your Google plus profile. This will help you to handle the email address easily. You won’t have to remember it each time you share a post.

5. For convenience of use, you can give the circle name as Google + Facebook (say) and add that circle when sharing any post from the Google plus stream.

If you add any email address that is not related with any Google plus profile, the post updates are emailed to that email address. Hence, when you share any post from your Google plus profile mentioning the visibility for that secret Facebook email address, it will send the post as email to that address and will be published in Facebook as your status update.

It takes some time to be published in Facebook because Facebook goes for an authentication process before accepting the content from an email address.

Remember that the Facebook email uploading system does not accept more than 50 characters. So any thing larger than it will automatically rejected by the uploading system.
This works in both desktop and mobile. Just open your Google profile in mobile, add the Facebook + Google circle as well as the other circle(s) and press Share button. Your posts will be shared in both Google plus and Facebook profile shortly.

Install a simple Chrome Extension to Cross post updates in Facebook, Twitter from Google plus

If don’t want to go through the above process, you can install a simple extension Extended share into your Google Chrome browser.
Once you install that in your browser, simply type the post at the share box in Google plus stream and press the Share button. As long as you do this, an overlay window will seem like this.

Clicking on the Facebook icon will take you into your Facebook account in a new browser tab and your post or link will be automatically copied at the text box. To share it with your Facebook friends, just press the Share button.
Similarly, clicking the Twitter icon will do the same for your Twitter account.
